Tokenized stocks
Shielded holdings of Robinhood Chain stock tokens, private DCA, and corporate actions that reach shielded holders without revealing who holds what.
Status: pre-launch. Noirpay is being built. This page describes the design as specified in the whitepaper; nothing on it is live on Robinhood Chain yet, and details can change before launch. See What's live today.
Robinhood Chain is where Robinhood's tokenized equities live, and it is the reason a private account matters most here: on any other chain a wallet reveals speculation; here it reveals a brokerage statement.
Holding stock tokens in the pool
Notes can hold stock tokens as well as USDG. A shielded stock position hides:
- the ticker and the size;
- every fill, so the cost basis;
- the cadence, if you DCA.
Buying and selling happens through the pool's routing against on-chain liquidity, so the chain sees the pool trade, not your account.
Corporate actions
Dividends, splits and similar events are handled at the pool level and credited to shielded holders pro-rata, the same way yield is:
| Event | What happens to a shielded holder |
|---|---|
| Cash dividend | USDG credited to the note that held the stock on the record date |
| Stock split | Note quantity adjusted at the split ratio |
| Reverse split | Note quantity adjusted; fractional remainders settled in USDG |
| Delisting / redemption | Note settled to USDG at the redemption value |
Nobody, including the issuer, learns which account held what.
Proving a position without revealing it
A lender or a counterparty who needs to know you hold a position, without seeing your account, gets an attestation: "held at least N of this stock for M months", proven in zero knowledge.
