$NOIR
Tiers and fee discounts
How holding $NOIR steps protocol fees down for an account or a company's seats.
Status: pre-launch. Noirpay is being built. This page describes the design as specified in the whitepaper; nothing on it is live on Robinhood Chain yet, and details can change before launch. See What's live today.
How tiers work
A tier is set by the amount of $NOIR held in a wallet linked to your account (or, for a business, to the company). Tiers are checked at the time a fee is charged. Nothing is locked or staked; selling the token simply lowers the tier.
What a tier changes
| Applies to | Effect |
|---|---|
| Protocol fees on account operations (fees) | Percentage discount by tier |
| Business protocol fees | Same discount, applied company-wide |
| Limits | Higher limits, more vaults, more seats at higher tiers |
Seat prices themselves are set separately (pricing); tiers discount the protocol fees layered on top.
Thresholds
Tier thresholds and discount percentages are published before the token launches, on this page. Until then there are no numbers to quote.
Privacy of tier checks
The wallet holding $NOIR is a plain Robinhood Chain wallet and is public. Linking it to your account is done inside the pool with a proof of ownership; the chain does not learn which account it belongs to.
